Hometown Nannies+LLC Background Checks for Applicants   Hometown Nannies+ performs an Employment References Verification Check of three (3) work references. In the event that a nanny or other applicant has long term work references, Hometown Nannies+ may also perform personal reference checks. We outsource the following six-step background check: • Social Security Number Trace • Driving Record Search • County Criminal Record Search • Federal Criminal Access Search • Sex Offender Registry Check in all 50 States • Patriot Act Search The background check must be received by both Hometown Nannies+ and the client family prior to the hiree's start date. Additional checks can be performed, at a fee, upon request. Strategic Information Services' Sexual Offender Registry Checks, in all 50 states, may reveal information relative to applicants with histories of sexual crimes, the severity of those offenses, personal defendant identifiers and arrest dates. SIS Sexual Offender Registry Checks provide potential insight into the previous noteworthy behavior of your applicants. BACKGROUND SCREENING SERVICES Product Description Comprehensive Criminal Search This package includes:  Social Security Validation, a Criminal Records Check in each addresses that was used during the time period specified (typically 7 years), National Criminal Database search, Nationwide Sex Offender Check and Patriot Act Search Driving Record We will compile a Driving History from any of the states where records are available by law.   All results are returned in compliance with the DPPA.   NH & PA have special requirements. Social Validation We will review credit records to establish a match between the social security number and the applicant's name.   This search also reveals historical addresses used by the applicant. Criminal Records Check We will search for criminal information in the primary criminal court in the jurisdiction(s) requested.  Searches are per court and per name checked unless otherwise noted.   Availability of historical records will vary by court, but will include a minimum of 7 years.  National Criminal Database We review electronic criminal records from 50 States.   Data sources vary by state but may include state and county court dockets, incarceration records, and arrest records.   Searches are per name checked.  Nationwide Sex Offender We will provide a nationwide search of sex offender records in all 50 states plus D.C.   Records shielded from public disclosure will not be accessible. Patriot Act Search We will verify that your applicant's name does not appear on barred lists associated with the Patriot Act and national security.  Our search includes over 17 sources including OFAC, FBI's Most Wanted Persons, and various terrorist watch lists.
